Schizophrenic Weekends

My room mate made the comment this morning: "Boy, your IQ certainly drops a couple of notches on the weekends."

I have no argument there.

During the Monday-to-Friday work week, my job requires me to be "analytical", "inqusitive" , to look at things from different angles and also to look at things from a "direct cause and effect" standpoint. So during the work week, my television "likes" are the local and national news and current events, TLC, CourtTV, Discovery, The History Channel etc.

Complete 180 on the weekends.

Friday evening to Sunday evenings, my television viewing is definitely "lighter fair"; Comedy Central (Dilbert, The Critic, MADTV, Last Comic Standing, Shorties etc.), or since my room mates kids become complete zombies for the Cartoon Network, The Disney Channel and Nickelodian, I can often be found with them watching "The Powerpuff Girls" or "Courage The Cowardly Dog". I have also been known to lock myself in my room for an entire day, watching an "Osbournes" marathon on MTV.

As I stated before, I have no argument with my room mate. It is just that today, when she mentioned it, it was a sudden dawning of reality. Yeah....I AM like that. I wish that I could offer you a clue or some insight into "why" I'm like that. But Psychologist, I am not. Maybe the Left/analytical hemisphere of my brain shuts down on Friday at 4:30pm, and the Right/creative hemisphere of my brain wakes up from 5 days of supression.

Ironic that it is now the weekend and I'm attempting to analyze this.

My brain hurts. lol
