Just a general question.

Are there any news sources out there that are truly "fair and balanced"?

This post is derived from a comment from a news source that I thought was "fair and blanced". No, I am not referring to Fox. I have always thought that "tag line" was excelent, but I learned awhile ago that Fox is not truly "fair and balanced"

The comment was from a local news source, that is controlled by a national media corporation. After doing a little research on this corporation, I see that they may not be AS fair and AS balanced, as I once thought they were.

So, who are we to believe? They all appear to have their own individual aggenda and objective.

Well I'm not sure about the "fair" part.. but I can think of a lot of unbalanced ones...... Am I right to think your meaning "Fair and balanced" ?

I have an undergraduate degree in mass-media communications, and a graduate degree in cinema-television and I can assure you there are no news sources that are either fair or balanced. Forewarned is forearmed.

If you see the news occur before your eyes and have other witnesses with different prejudices from your own, and you can agree on the basic facts... Then you have 'Fair and Balanced"
news. Just don't expect your buddies at the bar to believe you too : )
